Spotlight on Caregivers
Caregivers not only have to deal with a loved one's health issues, they also have to stay fit themselves. As life expectancy increases, (it is currently 81 years for men, and 84 years for women) the likelihood of a caregiver having to deal with their own health issues as well also increases.
Caregiving for a loved one can be one of the most stressful events you ever experience. In fact, the 25 million Americans currently acting as caregivers for their loved ones are often referred to as 'hidden patients' because their own health is often neglected.
In this section, we've listed articles of specific interest to caregivers. We also highlight some general health information for caregivers so that you don't neglect your own health.
